Our client, based in Brussels, is currently looking for a Functional Analyst to start ASAP
START: ASAP
DURATION: 4 months (with extension)
LOCATION: Brussels
DESCRIPTION:
As a Functional Analyst you will:
- Understand, detail and translate business needs to functional requirements and product features
- Interact with the business to elaborate the new solution
- Provide the top-down and bottom-up traceability between business needs, requirements and product features
- Work in collaboration with the project leader and development team through the different stages of project
- Ensure that all solutions proposals are discussed with, and approved by the architecture team that takes care of the vision and coherence of the applications landscape
- Work with all the client's templates and standards
- Meet the priorities and timing of the projects' plans
SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of UML (Unified Modelling Language), Processes description techniques like Role Activity Diagrams, BPMN, ...
- Requirements gathering techniques (Agile Software Development 'user stories' requirements elicitation technique is a real plus), Requirement sizing estimation techniques,
- Analysis methodology
- Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of Testing concepts and practices, Technical Architecture practices, UML tool Enterprise Architect are a plus
- Project management practices including agile ones (Scrum) is a plus
- Active listening aptitudes,
- Ability to adapt its communication, vocabulary and used artefacts
- Structured and well-formed documents writing
- Open-minded and team-spirit
- Not afraid on taking responsibilities
- Commitment to deliver within time and budget
- Fluency in Dutch and French and good knowledge of English
