Yoh has a contract opportunity for a FUNCTIONAL ANALYST to join our client in Fairfax, VA.

JOB OVERVIEW:
The Functional Analyst will provide functional and analytical support and expertise for Military Health clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Under general direction, work with clients to realize data requirements for reporting and data needs for the creation of ad hoc queries and subsequent ingestion into web-based applications.
- Collaborate with database administrators of source systems to understand the logic for the databases in order to build custom reports.
- Develop reports in one or more Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools, including SAS Business Intelligence, Business Objects, or Crystal Reports.
- Assist the client in the review of warehouse data to streamline the development of Business Intelligence applications that enhance decision making capabilities.
- Maintain responsibility for gathering requirements, designing and developing reports, and the deploying, administering, and report maintenance.
- Develop the training curriculum, inclusive of the functionality of Business Intelligence applications and the data contained therein and conduct training as requested, both domestic and international.
- Performs basic quantitative or qualitative analyses to assist in the identification of client concerns and the development of client specific solutions.
- Assists in the design and structures of presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the audience.
- Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs accordingly with respect to long term solutions.
- Collaborates with technical, functional, or business consultants, business analysts, and programmers to design robust data extractions from various information systems and develop automated solutions.
- Provides functional assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about analyses or information reports related to underlying aspects.
- Must be comfortable interfacing directly with clients and various audiences.
- Must be able to present functional solutions to non-functional clients.
- The ability to be innovative and flexible to meet project objectives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline in which one can apply their expertise to enhance the development of Business Intelligence applications or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of industry-pharmaceutical analytics and/or military healthcare information systems a plus
- Incumbent possesses and has demonstrated basic and some specialized systems and programming knowledge with a minimum of 3 years experience in systems analysis/application programming.
- Proven experience with other Business Intelligence software in one or more of the following: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Microsoft SharePoint, Performance Point, Crystal Reports, Business Objects, SAS, and SPSS required.
- Related Certification for Business Analyst or Requirements Analyst, Preferred.
- Must complete TRICARE University training and obtain certificate of completion for various courses
- PMP Certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to develop reports and solutions in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Instrumental in establishing requirements and design documentation, develop and execute code, perform detailed quality checks, debug, and maintain programs.
- Ability to interpret client requirements and develop sustainable strategies and solutions.
- Ability to conduct training on those solutions and explain details on the data contained within various Business Intelligence applications.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills to conduct training on the various applications
- Requires listening skills as well as presentation skills, and should be comfortable conducting interviews and discussions with clients and other stakeholders to collect information.
- Requires exceptional analytical ability to evaluate information and fluency in writing for the preparation of reports.
- Must be organized and have good interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience with respect to knowledge of SQL Server 2000 DTS and/or SQL Server 2005 SSIS, and Transact-SQL.
- Experience working with DoD or MHS Systems is a plus.
