Java Developer

My very large financial client is currently hiring a Java Developer for the long term project. The right Java Developer will be offered a long term renewable contract (based on performance during the initial 6 or 12 month contract)

The right Java Developer will be an experienced Java Web Engineer with experience working in an Agile/scrum and continuous delivery environment. You will develop together with your team scrum software for the client. You have experience developing Java web applications. You are enthusiastic and always actively looking for improvements.

Working according to the latest methods
In the function of Java Development Engineer you will be working within a squad (team). Squads are teams of engineers Development and Operations and Customer Journey experts who develop and manage one to aim several applications.

As Development Engineer Do you mainly focuses on building and testing applications.

You work as a Development Engineer is very diverse, but to your main tasks/focus areas include:

- Contributing to the further implementation of Continuous delivery
- Refining the product backlog with the team and the Product Owner
- Building software
- Develop and implement (automated) test cases
- Analyzing and solving bugs and defects

The squads use the Agile/Scrum methodology and Continuous delivery Engineering Practices.

You will work in a squad to the realization of user stories to the backlog of the team.

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
As a Dev Engineer you will work together with your enthusiastic and professional colleagues in a squad which is responsible for the realization and management of applications. You have in your job then direct impact on satisfaction among clients, and obviously it is expected of you that puts the customer interest in your work.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Minimum 5 years' experience in developing Java Enterprise applications, experience with Spring JEE 3/4 and 6.0/7.0
- Demonstrated experience in a complex organization with Spring, HTML, CSS, JavaScript 5/6 and preferably AngularJS
- knowledge and experience with agile/scrum methodologies and DevOps
- knowledge of Continuous delivery process and tooling (eg Jenkins, Nolio, Nexus, Sonar, Git, test automation tooling)
- knowledge of and experience with NodeJS, Grunt/Fly, Bower

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:

Command of the Dutch language, both writing and speaking
