We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company to support their project in South Africa.

Position Title: FTTx delivery consultant
Position Type: Contract
Start Date: December 2015
Duration: 6 months initial
Location: South Africa

Responsibilities:
- Support delivery of FTTX/ODN designs, including developing the delivery model, service rules and workflow with customers.
- Participate in an early establishment stage of large scale FTTX projects which will include remote network design.
- Customers interfacing up to CXO level ­ resolving issues, promote FTTX solutions and provide end2­end support on FTTX designs and delivery.

Qualifications/Skills Required:
- 8+ years of FTTX survey and designing experience, competent for planning the whole network. Technical manager/director on 5 or more FTTX projects.
- Experienced with mechanical implementation of optical/copper cable projects.
- Familiar with the design standards and specifications of optical fiber transmission, access network and outside plant project, skilled with various planning and design tools such as Autocad, Visio, GE Smallworld, etc.
- Familiar with the latest industry developments and new FTTX products.
- International working experience and open for international travels (around 50% of time).
- Language Skills: English fluent.
