Technical:
Good knowledge of equipment and technologies:
Ethernet & IP network engineering
Home gateways & home networking
Routers, Firewalls & Switches
International standards related to (optical) fixed access network: Broadband Forum TR156 or TR101, ITU-T G.984.x series, IEEE 802.3
Network protocols: IEEE 802.11, 802.1Q, PPPoE, ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, RTP, VOIP SIP signalling (IMS), LACP, IGMP, MPLS,
Quality of service on L2 and L3 networks (policing, shaping)
Network security
Usage of measurement equipment (Emulators, traffic generator, Spirent Test Center, Wireshark, ), testing automation tools
Analytical troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Experience in Ethernet and IP network engineering
Personal:
Result and customer oriented
Good coordination, planning and organisational talents
Good communication and reporting skills (written, oral)
Quality oriented
High sense of responsibility, autonomous working skills, working in team
Language: mainly written reporting in English, but preferably also French or Dutch speaking
