Job Purpose: To partner with the business ensuring the best people solutions to meet its strategic needs. Provide HR consultancy to the line.

Accountabilities:

• Makes a meaningful contribution to the development and implementation of the people strategy for a section of the Financial Services Office (FSO) business as well as to the broader FS sub area people agenda.

• Anticipates issues and needs within the business/client groups and addresses these effectively.

• Builds and maintains influential relationships with business leaders and managers working closely with them to co-develop solutions to meet their business needs.

• Sources the best fit people solutions ensuring the highest quality and best value for money for their service lines.

• Acts as a coach to the client group leader and partner team with specific regard to managing the people aspects of their business.

• Provides insight around people issues within the business, and a challenging, robust point of view on business decisions and their impact upon people.

• Ensures that the sub area strategic people imperatives are met within their relevant client groups e.g. talent management, performance management.

• Acts as an agent for change, ensuring organisational design/development solutions drive business transformation and change. Experience, Qualifications & Personal Qualities: • Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices that has been honed through practical application.

• Experience of making a significant contribution to business decision making, strategic planning discussions and operational aspects of the people agenda.

• Ability to be resilient, practical and a self starter, comfortable with working on own and with teams.

• Strong presentation skills.

• Ability to combine a commercial and pragmatic approach with a high level of sensitivity and discretion.

• Demonstrable ability to apply judgement and influence challenging individuals and deal with complex situations.

• Ability to manage and counsel others.

• Capable of working with several senior stakeholders and managing the balance between their requirements and business imperatives in a robust and assertive way.
