Frontend Engineer

Our software engineers develop next generation products that give our entrepreneurs a head start in developing start ups in the InsurTech space. As a software engineer, you work in a small team and can switch teams as our fast paced start ups grow and evolve. With your technical expertise, you will manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will also be involved in agile development processes, create new systems around scalable, reliable performance architecture to deliver an intuitive, cross device and cross browser experience for all our products. Your focus is to build a large, scalable, and pluggable cross platform architecture. Specific responsibilities may include: You are responsible for the frontend development and design of a new exciting product You independently choose the best approach and frameworks You create a responsive UI design and integrate your code with the backend development team You work together with a team of excellent engineers and product managers You share your knowledge and experience with the team Required skills: Excellent knowledge of frontend development - HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery Knowledge in advanced frontend technologies - Single Page Webapps, haml, sass/less/stylus, testing (e.g. jasmine, capybara) Experience with responsive web development and JavaScript frameworks like React, Backbone, AngularJS Prior experience with source control tools - Git, Github Experience in IT Security is a big plus Strong feeling for workflows and user interaction Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance Qualifications: Consider yourself a curious, high level thinker Passion for writing clean, solid, readable code that scales and performs well Experience with rapid prototyping, agile methods and/or Scrum Eagerness to learn new languages and technology Market interest and awareness for general internet software development trends, consumer tendencies What we offer Friendly environment with an international team of highly motivated colleagues Casual workplace, rooftop terrace office located in the heart of Munich
