FRONTEND DEVELOPER ( JAVASCRIPT/HTML/CSS ) - BRUSSELS, BELGIUM

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- 8+ years of professional experience with Front End development with Java technologies.
- Experience in full life cycle development: design, coding, test, build, QA, deployment and maintenance.
- UX Design expertise and web software engineering are mandatory.
- Sound understanding of IT software development.
- In-depth knowledge how to draft and maintain documentation and use relevant tools.
- Should be able to analyse the needs communicated, and being able to implement the changes and/or new functionalities as requested.

TECHNOLOGIES:

- Client User interface: HTML5, CSS3, jQuery 2.X, Bootstrap 3, JavaScript.
- Server Presentation layer: Spring MVC 4.X, Freemarker.
- Server Business layer: Spring 4.X, Java 8.
- Server Persistence Layer: Hibernate 4.X.
- Synchronous Remoting (WS, RMI, etc.): Spring WS.
- Asynchronous Remoting (JMS, etc.): N.
- XML Handling: JAXP.
- Cache: EhCache.
- Security: Spring security/JAAS.
- Other: Solr 3.6.0.
- AngularJS is an asset.

EDUCATION:

- Master Degree in computer science

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- Definition of the technological environment (Application Server, libraries, toolkits and deployment versions) according to the standards.
- Migration of the existing web application, Front End, to a responsive web design implementation.
- The migration will imply the implementation of one web site replacing both the current versions desktop and mobile of the application Front End.
- Implement any change into the user interface to make the Internet website responsive and accessible for dynamic content.
- Applying the graphic design of the web pages.
- Regular interaction with the maintenance team to ensure the alignment of the code implemented.
- Update of installation manual, DTA, DE and any technical document.
- Release of intermediate versions (at least 2) of the responsive application to gather feedback and user agreement on the progress of development.
- Operational support to the deployment of the production release candidate in the pre-production environment to submit for User Acceptance Test.
