Front Office Support - Bloomberg AIM Specialist - Contract - £400 - £500/day - London -Asset management - FO

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Front Office Support Engineer, you will be involved in the migration, design,configuration, administration, deployment and support of local Bloomberg AIM trading infrastructure. The key to this role with be experience of AIM project implementation and ongoing administration tasks.

Proven Bloomberg AIM implementation management skills to assist with project deliverables.

Provide administration of Bloomberg AIM trading workflows and overall system maintenance.

Provide project management skills to European teams to implement enhancements to trading systems.

Maintain relevant documentation in relation to trading systems and support processes.

Providing support to European investment and operations teams for the day to day operations of related trading systems.

Managing external vendors and ensuring services delivery in accordance with agreed services levels.

Provide analytical skills to Asset teams to develop and enhance trading systems.

Monitor and implement contracts and Service Level Agreements with system vendors,
(Bloomberg, Barclays Point and Hiportfolio), to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services.

Develop and implement a robust and effective Trading operational Model & Framework for the business and to ensure the model and framework are in line with the company operating model.

Develop and maintain solid working relationship with other functions (Portfolio Managers, Operations, Legal & Compliance, Risk Management etc.). Resolving conflicts and negotiating with others.

Establish and implement Trading System user policies and procedures as necessary.

Actively participate in ad hoc company projects and initiatives.

Support company development activities.

Continually seek and deliver business and investment process efficiencies.

Maintenance of procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory system controls requirements.

KEY SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND CHARACTERISTICS:

Familiarity with market data vendors such as Bloomberg, S&P, FXAll, Omgeo etc

Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies.

Self motivated, and be able to manage goals and deliverables, good analytical, problem solving and documentation skills.

Ability to adapt to changing business needs.

Excellent team player

Good written and verbal communications skills together with the ability to communicate with management and other business groups

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline preferable but mandatory (eg IT, Business)
Minimum 3 years support Front Office trading applications. (Bloomberg AIM preferred)
Minimum 3 years experience in Production Support environment.
