Front Office Market Risk/Ex Trader Vacancy - Exotic Equity

Being responsible for the exotic equity derivative portfolio, this role combines a highly technical market risk role with a hands on business focused element. You will be part of the desk and interact daily with the traders, senior management and quantitative team to assess, monitor and pre-empt movements within the market. Main duties will include:

- Setting, monitoring and challenging traders on risk positions and limits
- Working with the traders to provide advice develop trading strategies
- VaR, Monte Carlo simulation, back and stress test analysis and recommendation
- Working on various projects with the risk and IT teams

This is an exceptional role with an established investment bank. Successful candidates would require good knowledge of the business and the broader financial environment. Suitable backgrounds will include:

- Experience within market risk management
- Some previous trading experience would be highly advantagous
- Knowledge of Exotic Equity products
- Numerate with a post graduate education in a mathematical discipline
- Confident in interacting with the business with an understanding of the broader scope of banking
