Allegis Global Solutions are the onsite recruitment partner at RBS and manage all contract and temporary opportunities for RBS M&IB (Markets and International Banking).

We have an outstanding contract opportunity for someone with good control and operational risk experience to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Credit Portfolio Reporting- Analyst level you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.

A Front Office role that oversees and strives to improve the Global Markets controls framework and the closure of identified Front Office risk issues. The role will work very closely with the Front Office businesses, Operational Risk Management and Global Internal Audit to ensure optimisation of the controls assurance approach and processes. The role will also ensure that risk issues have been fully remediated from both a design and operational perspective.

The individual will specifically work on a project to review and remediate Legacy data in the Orbit Controls Database, covering the Global Markets Front Office businesses

- Identify/classify/prioritise the control population
- Perform initial reviews/clean-ups
- Draft proposed control updates
- Conduct workshops with stakeholders from the Front Office businesses to agree proposed changes
- Work with IT to process updates to the ORBIT database

Expectations:

- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Markets Front Office Business Managers to understand their business and control environments. Includes leading project meetings
- Develop and manage to the project plan
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with regional (APAC & US) Markets Front Office controls and assurance teams
- Conduct assurance activities across Markets in line with agreed plan, with particular focus on conducting interviews with Front Office supervisors
- Ability to provide commercial challenge to business responses
- Manage challenge process with Operational Risk

You will be:

- Qualified Accountant or operational risk professional with control experience or internal audit.
- Ideally you will understanding of Front Office and Operational Risk but not necessary.
- Audit and/or Operational Risk Experience is ideal.
- We will also look at people straight from practice or accountants from a control background.
