Front End Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Frontend Developer to develop on a large test automation initiative with an extremely well-known organization in Philadelphia. This is a long term contract opportunity.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Learn how to do the following:
- Write Back End code to test the wide functionality of products and software
- Write automated test scripts that allow for repeatable, reliable testing solutions
- Create Automated Testing documentation
- Execute automated test scripts, and report out results to team.
- Analyze broken test cases and diagnose/repair to working order.
- Diagnose/repair simple bugs within production code
- Perform code reviews of automation scripts and Front End codebases
- Maintain automation codebase
- Create simple SQL queries for validation of databases
- Write SOAP and RESTful API automated scripts

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Eagerness to learn how to develop Back End test driven development (creating test automation) a MUST
- Excellent communication skills a MUST
- Frontend Development experience within one of the following combinations:
- Ruby, or Ruby on Rails
- JavaScript, HTML, CSS (all 3)
- Python or Perl experience

BONUS SKILLS:

- Cucumber or Selenium development experience preferred
- QA/test automation experience preferred
- Experience with Agile Methodologies preferred
- Experience with mobile (development, testing, etc.) a bonus
- Experience creating/executing/debugging automated testing scripts using programming languages such as Python, Ruby and Java
