Front End Developer

We are looking for a FRONT END WEB DEVELOPER for a 6 months + contract in Duluth, GA.

POSITION SUMMARY

- The FRONT END WEB DEVELOPER 3 is responsible for creating the user interface for mobile and web applications. These applications are used by over 100,000 Client sales for members in US, Canada, Puerto Rico and Guam to gather/manage client data and submit/manage business.
- A successful candidate will feel comfortable in a team environment and possess extensive experience with Front End design, development, browser compatibility and UI design across different platforms.
- An online portfolio with a range of interactive samples is required. Technical expertise in mobile application development is must.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years presentation-layer mobile and FRONT END WEB APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT experience
- Must possess an online portfolio with a range of interactive samples
- Strong Front End design and development skills: Experience working with HTML5, CSS3, JAVASCRIPT, JQUERY,
- AngularJS, Bootstrap, LESS experience is a plus
- Demonstrated use of responsive CSS and adaptive web design
- Expert level knowledge and experience with web page and design software: Photoshop, Fireworks, Illustrator, In Design, Dreamweaver, Acrobat
- Experience with browser support, the capability to use new coding practices while maintaining support for older browsers, cross-browser compatibility testing, and optimizing website performance
- Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Experience with version control systems such as SVN
- Familiarity and experience with latest web design trends: responsive, parallax, animation, etc.
- Excellent communication and project management skills are essential
- Must have a demonstrated track record of delivering quality products from conception to final production under tight deadlines, and must function well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience working with web services, APIs and data formats (JSON, XML, etc) a plus
- Knowledge of Financial Services industry a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

- FRONT END WEB DEVELOPER will work with UX Designers, Business Teams and Management to create and iteratively refine mobile and web application mockups
- Build minimal, rapid prototypes to test and prove designs
- Convert designs and/or rapid prototypes into working styles, markup and images as required by underlying applications or technology frameworks - this could be straight HTML5/CSS3 development or it might be LESS and AngularJS modular components and variables
- Complete cross-browser testing on all deliverables
- FRONT END WEB DEVELOPER will work with programmers to implement styling and markup, and support programmers in troubleshooting style and design issues during coding, implementation and product support phases
- Provide peer review, feedback and input on other design team projects
- Participate in design standards review, decision-making, and maintenance
