Front End Developer

Front End Developer required for an initial 3 month contract role based on a client site in Edinburgh to start ASAP...

Essential skills/experience required:
Ideally possess 6 + years experience designing, implementing and scaling high traffic web applications and web services.

Experience of web development using the following stack:
HTML5
CSS3
JavaScript
HTTP
XML
JSON
JavaScript frameworks (eg: RequireJS, Backbone js, jQuery etc).
Soap or restful web services
Linux or Mac OSX operating systems

Role:
To be instrumental in the successful design and implementation of web applications, web API's and other components. Contribute to the design and implementation of robust, scalable, open and secure web front-ends ensuring delivery to the highest standard. Contribute to the development of new features and products and work alongside the test team to ensure that new and updated platforms., products and transactions are thoroughly tested for performance and quality and are able to handle specified load, robust and can be supported and maintained over the long term.
