Front End Developer - 12 Month Contract

We are currently looking for a talented Front End Developer to join the Penguin team working on a new digital platform project for Penguin.co.uk and other UK websites.

In this project role, you will be working alongside back end developers and the business online teams to rebuild existing websites based on new designs and on a new platform. Your key responsibilities will include:

- Creating page templates and widgets/controls in ASP.NET for the new Penguin digital platform
- Creating and/or migrating HTML from legacy systems to new Penguin websites
- Creating CSS & Javascript
- Application development in C# and MS SQL Server

We are looking for an experienced web developer with strong experience working with HTML, CSS, Javascript, C#, ASP.NET, MVC and MS SQL Server. You will have good experience with web accessibility and cross browser compatibility as well a good knowledge of Visual Studio. Someone with experience developing for .NET based CMS would be a real plus and we'd also like someone with experience working in and Agile (Scrum) environment.

You will be a self-starter, able to work independently who is able to work across multiple regions and with off-shore development teams.
