French OR German Accounts Payable Specialist

German OR French Accounts Payable Rep: 9 Month contract - 30-35K Euros (Based in CityWest)

Position Summary:
Accounts Payable Representative with additional European languages (French or German preferably). This person will principally be responsible for accounts payable for a number of European countries processing invoices, resolving any issues with the invoices working to clear aging items and some project work. This position requires an enthusiastic individual with excellent organizational and communication skills, Also attention to detail is very important. The candidate should be able to work under pressure in a dynamic team environment. Experience in SAP/Ariba is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Receiving and preparing supplier invoices for the processor in a multi-currency environment attention to detail is important here.
* Ensuring that the corporate expenditure approval policy is being followed, and obtaining appropriate approval if necessary.
* Processing invoices.
* Reconciling supplier statements to accounts payable ledger on regular basis
* Closing accounts payable ledger in accordance with the month end/quarter end close timetable
* Liaising with suppliers and others to ensure that supplier queries are dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible and that payments are made on a timely basis
* Resolving disputes with suppliers or escalating to the appropriate company personnel
* Compliance with SOX policies and procedures
* Being a team player in a busy high volume department
* Ad hoc requests

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 1 + years AP experience in a similar role
* European Language skills a requirement (French/German)
* Experience of working in a diverse and fast pace multinational environment as part of a busy team.
* Motivated individual with a commitment to achieving results
* Attentive to detail and ability to work in an environment where compliance with processes and procedures is paramount.
* Customer focused - ability to take responsibility to follow through on vendor/employee issues

IT skills: ERP system ARIBA/SAP needed and intermediate-advanced level of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
