Freight Auditor Job

FREIGHT AUDITOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in ALLENTOWN, PA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Accounts Payable/freight invoicing experience.
- SAP Accounts Payable experience.
- MS Excel and Outlook experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for ensuring that carrier invoices are efficiently processed in SAP, including timely resolution of carrier/internal discrepancy cases related to outstanding invoice issues.
- While performing the essential functions of this position, the Freight Auditor will interface with Accounts Payable, import/export compliance, logistics sourcing, business supply chain and carriers.
- Process freight invoices on a daily basis with responsibility for maintenance of rates within SAP freight rating and accrual bolt on.
- Responsible for timely initiation and resolution of invoice discrepancy cases within the Freight Audit team.
- Ongoing Tier 2/3 support within the Freight Audit team.
- Research freight discrepancy cases using information within SAP to align carrier statements with status of payables within agreed upon tariffs. Also perform root-cause issues analysis to facilitate improvement and solve freight invoice processing issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Freight Audit Supervisor and/or GPC Global Power User.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- To perform this job successfully, the Freight Auditor must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Strong computer skills/knowledge of SAP, VIM, Excel, Outlook, MSWord.
- Team player in discrepancy resolution with freight rating and accessorial understanding.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly organized and with good communications skills to interact effectively with multiple business functions and external vendors.
- Previous Accounts Payable experience, especially processing freight invoices.
- Individual must have a working knowledge of personal computers and SAP system experience.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Accounting certifications/degrees a plus.
- Work experience; minimum of two to three (2-3) years experience in an Accounts Payable role involving freight invoices utilizing SAP or equivalent ERP system.
