Freelance UX Designer

We are currently on the lookout for talented Senior UX designers to work in house with a variety of exciting clients across the Northwest.

If you are an experienced UX designer on the lookout for your next freelance role and have the skills outlined below then this could be the perfect opportunity.

Desired Skills:

- Have good interpersonal and communication skills to understand design briefs.
- Your portfolio should demonstrate your thought process, underlining your thoughts from the users perspective.
- You will have an excellent understanding of modern accessibility and usability techniques and experience of working to an agile methodology.
- Strong skills and knowledge of using Axure for creating interactive prototypes and user testing.

Rate banding

If you are set up as a limited company or if you are a sole trader who would be paid through our PAYE payment structure.

Freelancers set up as a limited company would be looking at between up to 290 per day.

Freelancers being paid through our PAYE payment structure would be looking at up to 240 per day plus statutory holiday pay.

For those of you thinking of applying who don't really know the advantages of working as a freelancer through an agency like Orchard I would like to mention a couple of key points.

For every booking you do through Orchard, you will be paid the week following the assignment. Another great advantage is that we carry the burden when it comes to collecting payment from the client and you get paid even if we don't.
