What will you be doing as Freelance Senior Java Specialist?

In your role as Freelance Senior Java Developer based in Amsterdam, my client is looking for an experienced Java Developer to be responsible for:
- Developing excellent quality software using agile techniques such as Test Driven Development
- Ensuring the User receive the best service every day, improving the codebase wherever possible and have active participation in all aspects of the team
- Ensuring you are actively mentoring and coaching other members of the team, your help has a recognized impact on their development
- Working on exciting products delivering significant new capabilities to applications

What do we expect as Freelance Senior Java Specialist

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience and strong ability in Java (J2EE)
- Spring
- Hibernate
- Maven
- Cassandra
- MySQL
- CouchDB
- A passion for technology
- 100% bug-free mentality

Experience with the following experiences / skills / methods / tools are beneficial:
- TDD
- BDD
- Cucumber
- JUnit
- Experience of Mocking Frameworks such as EasyMock, PowerMock or Mockito
- Experience of software development for high capacity, high traffic

Furthermore enthusiasm, an attitude for learning new skills and practices and taking ownership in your project will be required.
