Freelance PL/SQL Expert

We are looking for a PL/SQL Expert for one of our customers. Work will be carried out onsite at the customer's premises based in the Brussels center.
The duration of the contract will be one-year with high possibility of extension.

The required skills are:
• Analyze, review, improve and document existing and future database components
• Develop complex SQL views, PL/SQL store procedures, functions and packages that implement business logic
• Provide daily support of the application
• Maintain database schema's in multiple environments
• Perform capacity planning and performance tuning
• Liaise with the user community
• Follow-up the different evolutions of the systems and participate in the deployment of new versions

Required Expertise:
• Very good knowledge of Oracle 11g features and concepts, SQL & PL/SQL
• Very good knowledge in data modelling, database design, SQL & PL/SQL development
• Very good analytical skills
• Good reporting methods
• Tools: Oracle*Designer, TOAD, SQL*Plus & Oracle utilities
• Ability to work with a high degree of rigour and method
• Ability to diagnose problems
• Ability to liaise between users and technical development teams
• Knowledge in Web Applications development and in Java technology is an asset
• Detect new user requirements and make proposals on how to integrate improvements in subsequent releases, taking into account the priorities defined by the project owners
• Detect problems or recurring incidents. Verify the effective resolution of these problems and give feedback to the user community.
• Maintain technical and functional documentation. Detect missing elements based on frequently asked questions and update the documentation accordingly
• Monitor data quality
• Prepare activity reports for project management
