Freelance Medical Director – Clin Dev – UK

We currently recruit on behalf of a busy pharmaceutical company in the south east of England, developing innovative products in the field of Oncology and Cardiovascular drug development.

As a result of increasing needs in the clinical development department, we require a Medical Director in the Oncology therapy area to provide expertise in oncology to the Development Organisation and provide expert advice on medical/scientific matter related to oncology to support our clients Clinical Research in US and EU.

Principal Responsibilities

* Leadership and management of the clinical team conducting the clinical trials.
* Responsibility for the Clinical Development strategy
* Responsible for the conduct of all clinical trials, including those for regulatory submission and for publication.
* Providing medical and scientific direction on clinical matters affecting preparation and submission of timely and sound information to regulatory agencies
* Providing the medical input to labelling negotiations with regulatory authorities.
* Ensure proper the evaluation and reporting of issues and adverse events related to product safety in clinical trials.
* Serving as an expert consultant to quality and pharmacovigilance functions in the investigation of adverse events and other product related issues; assisting as requested in the preparation of periodic and other regulatory reports.
* Responsible clinical portion of regulatory submissions leading to registration of new oncology indications in US and other regions.
* Responsible for the planning and execution of Clinical Advisory Boards
* Responsible for interactions with Clinical Consultants, opinion leaders and specialty societies

This is a full time opportunity based in South East England close to major airports and commutable from London lasting between 3-6 months. Additionally they offer an excellent daily rate and exciting working environment.
