Based in Bexhill-On-Sea on the South Coast, accessible by great transport links (within 1 hours commute from Brighton) with over 1500 staff at our HQ we are currently seeking a HR Business Partner to join the team on a 6 month contract.

As an HR Business Partner with Hastings Direct you will contribute to colleague engagement and customer experience resulting in excellent commercial performance of the business which means we can give more back to our community by delivering a range of people strategies and solutions in close partnership with business leaders.

We are looking for a candidate who can deliver:- GREAT BUSINESS PARTNERING

- To inspire, business leaders and teams through effective leadership, influencing, communication, motivation, support and development to drive outstanding individual and business performance improvement resulting in high levels of employee engagement.
- Has a structured approach to stakeholders meetings engaging with the team HR Advisor to ensure E/R and strategic plans are delivered.
- Role models that Hastings Way at all times.
- Receives positive 360 feedback from business leaders at all levels.
- Is at the table contributing to business area strategy.
- To create and embed a coaching and development culture through the business.

BECOMING A BEST PLACE TO WORK

- Works with business leaders to create a high level of interest and excitement around the staff survey.
- Full analysis of survey data to create dashboards and ideas for improvement to support business areas.
- Helps shape feedback and actions given to colleagues arising from staff survey.
- Is engaged at the earliest opportunity in change initiatives and often initiates these.
- Educates colleagues and managers on the business impact on engagement.

CAREER AND TALENT DEVELOPMENT

- Drives internal talent and career progression approach within each business area.
- Encourage cross business area moves and works with other HRBP's to ensure talent strategy integrated and not just at business unit level.
- Ensures succession plans in place for all critical roles across the business.

BEING AN HR EXPERT

- Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation relating to HR and General Insurance, making recommendations for process change and improvement where required.
- Has a thorough understanding of employment law and extensive experience of handling complex employee relations issues with minimal guidance.
- Translates employment law and policy into a language that the business will buy in to.
- Monitor, manage and communicate people MI and translate into themes to drive people plans and activity..
- Effectively plan and prioritise personal and departmental workload
