Freelance Head of Actuarial Valuation

YOUR ROLE

As Head of Actuarial Valuation your main responsibilities will involve to:

- Be responsible for production and timely and accurate reporting of reserves and actuarial intangibles under reporting matrices of local statutory reporting and IFRS reporting
- Calculate APE and input files for MCEV calculations
- Support role of appointed actuary with add-hoc analysis
- Perform LAT
- Correct implementation of methodology
- Support larger projects in relation to IT systems implementation, development of accounting

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

As Head of Actuarial Valuation your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

- University Degree in actuarial sciences, mathematics, physic
- Qualified Actuary (SAV or similar qualification)
- Minimum of 10 years of business relevant experience
- 5 years of Leadership experience
- Strong People Management skills
- In-depth experience of Swiss traditional life insurance
- Fluent in German, Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Strong technical knowledge of Swiss traditional business, Swiss accounting and reserving guidelines and practices, Swiss solvency regulation and a network of Swiss actuarial professionals.
- Strong technical skills allowing for the holder of the role to effectively carry out reviews and analysis of the business
- Ability to act as a role model with highest integrity
