FPGA - Electronics Engineer - Contract

FPGA Engineer - Design / Verification - Midlands

My midlands based client requires a contractor for a 6 month piece of work. The requirements are detailed below:

- Experienced Design Engineer
- Extensive FPGA development experience
- Extensive knowledge of VHDL and synchronous design
- Ideally from a standardising industry such as aerospace, energy, automotive, military etc
- Good understanding of hardware interfacing to FPGA at the PCB level
- Actel Flash and Anti-Fuse experience is a plus but not essential

The role may also require a contractor to do some FPGA firmware verification work. The contractor will be required to perform verification and documentation of an existing FPGA Actel design.

This part of project involves 2 steps :

- first step is reverse engineering to update specifications and test documents.
- second step is producing Verilog firmware to test the FPGA Actel design
