FPGA Development Engineer (m/w)

Harvey Nash are a global Professional Services provider in the areas of Technology and Engineering Recruitment and Outsourcing.
For our client in Karlsruhe, Germany we are currently looking for a FPGA Development Engineer (m/w) to join on a freelance basis.

Duration: 6 months with the option of extension
Location: Karlsruhe
Start: July 2015

Responsibilities:
- Design, implementation, test, integration and delivery of Verilog modules for interface tests of SOC module
- Create Simulation environment for Verilog modules and functional simulation
- Integration of developed items and test in hardware using Python scripts
- Release of developed items (documentation of modules, programming interface)
- Debug support for high level test scripts developed by coworkers

Skills
- Automotive or industrial work experience.
- Excellent skills and practice in programming in Verilog
- Practiced handling of XILINX Vivado Design Suite (IP generation, XDC)
- Knowledge of AMBA® AXI™ technology
- Experience in the domain of control interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, TDM, PCIe
- Debugging skills and practice in the use of hardware measurement (Oscilloscope, Logic Analyser) tools and equipment.
- Linux experience on user level
- Programming skills in Python script language
- Good communication skills in English written and spoken.
