Formulations Scientist Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a FORMULATIONS SCIENTIST to join our client in Collegeville, PA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

As a member of Global Formulations group in Product Development, the successful candidate will contribute in developing formulations for clinical studies post proof of concept and ultimate commercialization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Contribute as a member of a multi-disciplinary development team, working on the design of formulations and development of associated manufacturing processes
- Develop and execute scale-up strategy for unit operations
- Ensure seamless technology transfer of processes between pilot plants and into final commercial manufacturing plant
- Prepare the scientific content in regulatory documents
- Serve as CMC representative for project teams

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- M.S. in Pharmaceutical Science or Chemical Engineering with two to five (2 - 5) years of experience in formulation (oral or parenteral dosage forms) and associated manufacturing process development.
- Understanding of physico-chemical properties and their relationship to formulation development and performance
- Evidence of problem solving and excellent practical laboratory skills
- Ability to work flexibly and effectively in a Matrix team environment
- Excellent teamwork and knowledge sharing skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- M.S. in Pharmaceutical Science or Chemical Engineering with two to five (2 - 5) years of experience in oral or parenteral formulations
- Experience in optimizing and scale up of manufacturing processes and transfer of technology to commercial facilities
- Knowledge of and ability to incorporate Quality by Design concepts
- Experience in preparing regulatory documents cGMP and regulatory knowledge to pharmaceutical product development
- Understanding of biopharmaceutics and its relationship to formulation development and performance
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, and communications skills for a wide variety of audiences
- Excellent flexibility, teamwork and knowledge sharing skills
