Food and Drink Industry Business Advisor-London/Home-Based

I am looking to hire a Business Advisor with one of my public sector client.

The location is London - can be based at home.

This is a contract role for 6 months.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- Take a leading role, working at the highest levels of the Food and Drink industry, government, trade associations, and existing/future investors.
- Promote the UK Food and Drink sector's strategy and value propositions compellingly and position them to best advantage against competitor nations globally
- Understand the big picture' and the risks and opportunities for the UK industry in order to help to develop sector strategies and contribute significantly to the delivery of several Higher Value projects
- Collaborate with an existing Food & Drink Manufacturing Specialist to contribute to the relationship with all Strategic (A) and Global (B) accounts, and to support the work of our overseas teams in making effective pitches for new business
- Support, where appropriate, the work of the Investment Services Team (IST) Account Managers with companies already in the UK.
- Help to develop the skills and knowledge of the wider team and capture feedback from the wider team that can help to evolve our engineering strategies.
- A credible and compelling presenter, with a background in the FOOD & DRINK MANUFACTURING SECTOR, to potential investors on the key strengths of the UK Food and Drink industry and why the UK is the right investment destination.
- Experience of dealing at the highest level within some of the world's biggest household name' Food and Drink companies.
- An understanding of both how a business works commercially and the technical requirements around Food and Drink Manufacturing which make you credible with the C-suite of a potential investment client.
- Well connected within academic R&D, particularly in relation to packaging and Manufacturing, to facilitate the right links and Foreign Direct Investment outcomes with the commercial sector.
- Familiar with Manufacturing processes in the sustainable, efficient Food and Drink packaging (and distribution/logistics), Health and Wellbeing (organics, vegan, gluten free, sugar free).
