FNP Needed for Weekends (30-40 hrs a Month) Job

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Houston, Texas

Acute Episodic care with some emergent care. Heavy occupational health.

Minimum of 3 shifts a month. 10 hour shifts are weekends Saturday and/or Sunday. Position is located at Bush Intercontinental Airport. Hep B, Tetanus, CPR must be up to date. Every sunday in may and June from 8am to 6pm.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide medical treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries.
- Services must be limited to skills within the training or experience of the physician assistant, services customary to the practice of the supervising physician and services delegated by the supervising physician.
- Chart all patient transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Ideal candidate will poses at least three (3) years of hands on clinical skills with family practice or Urgent care
- Experience treating lacerations, sprains, strains, injuries as well as conducting Pre placement physicals
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe medical environment.
- Strong clinical skills, Preferably in Occupational health or an Urgent Care
- Knowledge of professional medical practices related to treatment of work-related illness and injuries. Knowledge of organizational and medical policies, regulations and procedures.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe medical environment.
- FNP/PA-C LICENSE REQUIRED FNP PREFERRED

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Certified Physician Assistant in Texas OR FNP
- Prior Workers comp or Urgent Care experience
- Would prefer someone who is DOT certified.
