Flexpod Migration Engineer - Linux / Vmware / Netapp (ZZP)

Our customer is responsible for a project to migrate a number of applications to infrastructure in a new datacenter. Our customer is responsible for a new IT production environment based on a FlexPod design (Cisco). This FlexPod includes Cisco UCS, Netapp storage and VMware virtualization. In this phase our customer is searching for an engineer focused on the migration.

Activities

- Intake / analysis of application instances for migration
- Creation of migration run books
- Migration of VMware instances to the new platform (scripted)
- Creation of storage disks, virtual storage devices (scripted)
- Reconfiguration of application instances, including storage & network (scripted)
- Troubleshooting

Job requirements
- HBO+ or Academic level
- Minimal 3-5 years of relevant work experience within an enterprise environments
- Advanced knowledge of UNIX / Linux environments. RHCE or similar preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of VMWare 5. VCAP5-DCD, VCDX5-DCV preferred.
- Advanced knowledge in Linux scripting via BASH, Perl, or similar
- Experience with Cisco FlexPod preferred
- Experience with NetApp FAS storage solutions preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (Dutch, English)
- Good documenting capabilities (to be proven by set of reference documents)
