Fixed Network Engineer

FIXED NETWORK ENGINEER - MAASTRICHT AND VOORBURG

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Fixed Network (Microwave) Engineer to be part of the Network Integration Team (Fixed Network Division) and have responsibility for technical support such as:

- Solution design: defining an e2e scope definition. Prepare HLD/LLD.
- Project deployment: operate equipment commissioning, testing, migration, low-level design, site swap, system acceptance, etc.
- Product proof of concept test: make test cases and define issue-reporting schedule
- Acquiring deep knowledge of the Vodafone NL Radio/Mobile network.

CANDIDATES SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE:

- 5+ years of experience in Telecommunications Industry (Carrier or Vendor)
- Full MW project delivery experience
- Digital microwave principles:
- Understand basic principles of microwave communication including, LOS standards, range of value K, and principles of various diversity technologies.
- Understand the relationship between microwave band/channel division, capacity/bandwidth, and modulation approach.
- Understand the principles of microwave antennas and definitions of performance parameters,
- Understand microwave link parameters
- PDH/SDH/ATM principles:
- Master PDH multiplexing principles
- Understand basic principles of PDH/SDH
- Understand basic ATM principles: cell structure and encapsulation format, and IMA group application.
- Data features:
- Master packet features (MPLS/PW/H_QoS/MPLS_OAM), tunnel transmission technology (L2/L3 VPN), and basic principles and knowledge about H_QoS. Master MPLS, QoS, and QinQ.
- Full Ericsson and Siae MW Product knowledge and DCN Solution, master Service configuration on NMS system.
- Familiar with tools of NL VDF system, example MW planning tool(Mapinfo, IQLINK,CONNECT) and VDF inventory tools.
