Fixed Asset and Project Accountant

My Central Government Client are keen to take on a Project Accountant with extensive Fixed Asset experience.

You will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation is recording and accounting for all capital expenditure and providing support throughout the team on operational projects, providing expert advice, support to managers and budget holders, ensuring compliance with all statutory, regulatory and best practice accounting standards and requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

*Provide expert advice, support and challenge to managers and budget holders.
*Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and best practice accounting standards and requirements.
*To manage the implementation of policies and processes in support of ongoing projects for the agency. To include enhancements, upgrades and implementation of Front End booking systems.
*To maintain and manage the fixed asset records of the organisation including revaluations, re-lifing, disposals and other asset transactions.
*To provide Subject Matter Expertise in Fixed Asset accounting processes and to constantly review and enhance processes, driving efficiencies to achieve objectives.
*Excellent relationships with stakeholders regarding financial accounting issues.
*To be responsible for answering finance related PQ's/FOI's and any other request for data within the timescales stipulated.
*Development, communication and promotion of the organisations corporate core purpose, vision, objectives and values.
