FIXED ASSET ACCOUNTANT - CONTRACT - READING

Supporting the Finance Team in the management and reporting of fixed assets and capital provisions. My client are a rapidly growing, fast paced company within the communications infrastructure industry. You will be liaising with stakeholders and various teams within the business on a day to day basis, so excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities will include managing the monthly fixed asset accounting and reporting, take ownership of key fixed asset KPIs, depreciation provision, assist in the provision of tax information for capital allowances and complete relevant notes for statutory accounts under IFRS.

We are looking for someone with an appreciation of IFRS technical accounting (ICAEW ideal) as you will be involved in the statutory accounting/disclosures and audit (not just management accounting). You will need to have had experience in maintaining and implementing a Fixed Asset Register within a medium to large company. You will also need to be familiar with standard vs actual costing methods due to the nature of the business, to use when recording and capitalising assets under construction.

Requirements:

- Experience of managing relationships and interfacing with all areas of the business
- Experience of fixed asset accounting in a medium to large commercial environment
- Experience of using Agresso system (ideal)
- Qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA (or equivalent)
- Able to work accurately to tight deadlines
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Team player
