Firmware Engineer - high technology - South East - Permanent

A new vacancy has arisen for a highly qualified talented Electronics Engineer to join a growing Hardware Design Team responsible for developing state of the art solutions for digital imaging. This is a great opportunity to play an integral part in new product development for a high technology company.

* Degree educated in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
* Previous commercial experience with firmware and electronics design
* Analog circuit design
* FPGA and/or ASIC design (Altera and Xilinx preferable)
* Design for EMC and knowledge of designing to ISO and IEC standards
* Real time image processing algorithms
* Knowledge of TCP/IP
* Debugging hardware using diagnostics equipment such as oscilloscopes

You will work on technically challenging projects and be involved in all aspects of product development from initial conception through to production. As such, previous experience of bringing designs into volume production would be beneficial.

Problem solving abilities (both technically and commercially) is key to being successful in this role as you may have to make design trade offs between functionality, quality and cost.

As you will be liaising with internal and external stakeholders, strong communication skills are essential.
