Firewall Administrator

IMMEDIATE HIRE for a Firewall Administrator!  This is a 12+ month contract opportunity (potential to extend) and the work can be done remotely.  Qualified individual must have strong communication skills (verbal and written), strong command of the English language and proven experience of working across cultures and boundaries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for administration of network Firewalls.
- Provide technical leadership within a highly technical team.
- On call/shift work as required.
- Responsible to translate client requirements in to detailed actions for execution.
- Required to follow detailed change management and incident management processes.
- Investigate and resolve incident tickets.
- Communicate with other technical teams regarding Firewall operations.
- Troubleshoot traffic passing managed Firewalls.
- Troubleshoot connectivity issues through Firewalls.
- Utilize packet capture features to aid in analysis of network issues.
- Responsible to review work products from Level 1 - 2 support organization and mentor level 1 - 2 personnel to meet quality and timeliness requirements.
- Work in a fast paced operations environment.

REQUIREMENTS:  

- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience with Checkpoint, Cisco or Juniper Firewalls.
- Excellent TCP/IP Networking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and work within a global organization with different cultures.
- Familiarity with Service Center and Service Manager, and familiarity with ADMS and MDL highly desired!

CERTIFICATIONS:

- CCNA required
- At least one of the following vendor certifications is required:  Cisco CCENT, Juniper JNCIA,  or Checkpoint CCSA.
- At least one of the following vendor certifications is desired:  Cisco CCNA Security, Juniper JNCIS, Checkpoint CCSE, CISSP,  or CISM.
