Electrical power generation client is currently seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to perform day-to-day support of the plant fire protection program at Oconee Nuclear Station in Seneca, SC. This is a 1 year CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates preferred but per diem will be available for qualified candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Review and approval of transient combustible requests, fire impairments, and interface with various station groups to resolve fire protection related issues

REQUIREMENTS

- Member of Society of Fire Protection Engineers (or possess qualifications to become a member)
- 3+ years experience working at a nuclear power facility
- Thorough familiarization with NFPA codes
- Fire Protection, Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree. PE License preferred
