Finite Element Analysis/Biomechanics Scientist (210688 PhD req.)

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) is looking for junior and senior scientists to join the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command's Biotechnology High Performance Computing Software Applications Institute (BHSAI) []. HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to the BHSAI.

This opening is for dynamic scientists interested in working in an interdisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and apply computational solutions to biomedical problems involving physiological modeling using finite element analysis (FEA) and/or computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Analyze and model biomechanics data with relevance to, but not limited to, pulmonary health, bone health, heat transfer, and traumatic brain injury using FEA/CFD.
Work simultaneously on multiple projects, involving a diverse and
interdisciplinary team of scientists across multiple laboratories.
Prepare research proposals, progress reports, and manuscripts for submission to scientific journals.
Present research methods and findings at appropriate scientific conferences.
