Projektbeschreibung
*Top Tier Investment Bank looking for an Analyst and AVP within their financial reporting and control team - these will be 12 month contract but there is potential to be converted to permanent roles in the future. Great opportunity to get broad exposure with a leading institution.*
The team is responsible for all aspects of financial reporting for APAC
1/Preparation of monthly IFRS financial statements for the branches and subsidiaries within Asia Pacific, including more detailed disclosure to the business quarterly, semi-annually and annually.
2/Understanding products reported within the entity and ensuring compliance of disclosures and accounting treatments with IFRS and other reporting requirements.
3/Understanding the implications of US GAAP on the figures reported and reporting adjustments as required.
4/Calculation of risk-weighted assets (RWA)
5/Review of new trades and products that are introduced/booked into entities - identifying the basis of the trades and with the assistance of our regulatory policy team identify the correct regulatory treatment and implement it.
6/Understanding and explaining to management significant movements in the entity's balance sheet, in terms of changes in the business as well as movements in the market in general.
7/Preparation and review of the monthly balance sheet reporting pack for the entities and manage the monthly sign off procedure for IFRS balance sheets.
8/Liaison with Product Control, Front Office, Operations, IT and other areas of Financial Control
Experience
1/Qualified Accountant (CPA or equivalent)
2/2-7 years experience with ideally a background from the Big4 accounting firms
3/Background in Finance/Investment banking, through either direct employment or through Big 4 Auditing/Consultancy exposure.
