A large Financial Services organisation (Wealth Management), based in London, The City, have an urgent contract vacancy for a Financial Planning Manager. The Client offer banking and investment services to wealthy private and business customers in the UK and around the world;  services include investment and portfolio management, tax, trust and estate planning, and stock-broking. A vacancy has arisen for a Financial Planning Manager, to work within Wealth Finance and in particular within the Executive Decision Support (EDS) team. It is their responsibility to deliver the financial planning processes for the Wealth Division and for providing key financial insight to the executive management team. This role works closely with the Head of Planning, Divisional FD and Senior Management across the business and plays a significant role in representing the division into the parent Group.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support for the co-ordination and delivery of the annual Strategic Plan and Budget financial planning processes and requirements for the Wealth Division:

- Provide control and governance for the Hyperion Planning (HP) system for the Wealth Division, ensuring that the end to end HP processes are effectively managed and Planning data integrity is maintained
- Ensure that the Strategic Plan and Budget financial planning deliverables satisfy Divisional and Group requirements
- Provide expert financial over-sight for the consolidated Wealth division financials, working closely with the Reporting team to ensure that forward trajectory is aligned to actual reporting and latest rolling forecasts
- Key liaison point for the business-aligned Wealth Finance teams, Group Financial Planning and Analysis (GFP&A), Divisional and Group Risk and Treasury teams for Planning related deliverables
- Lead the Wealth Division Planning Working Group to promote continuous improvement across the global end to end Planning process and ensuing that issues are identified earlier and managed to a successful conclusion
- Provide Planning and HP SME representation on a number of projects and Group forums, ensuring the views of the division's finance community are represented
- Deputise for the Head of Planning & Analysis as required
- Support the Executive Reporting team during peak periods such as year end and half year reporting
- Develop Junior Analysts within the team to enable them to own and maintain key spreadsheet data sets and to deliver analysis as required to support Planning and Executive Reporting.

Experience:

- Proven resilience and ability to work on complex issues, providing solutions and recommendations within tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience of working with Hyperion Planning and of defining and managing system governance
- Good knowledge of Banking and Wealth Management products, systems and processes preferable.

Technical knowledge:

- Professional Accountancy qualification, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent (5 years PQE).
- Educated to degree level.
- Hyperion Planning experience to a high level
- Excel modelling and quality PowerPoint presentation skills
