WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE?

The Group Financial Planning team is responsible for the delivery of all financial budgeting and forecasting for the Group. This includes delivery of annual budgeting, quarterly reforecasts as well as regular scenario analysis for the Group CEO and An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Planning manager. The role will be responsible for delivery of financial modelling and presentation of base case and scenario outcomes at Senior Executive level, as well as challenging the financial performance of strategic business units.

1. ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR YOUR ROLE - WHAT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO DO

WHAT ARE YOU EXPECTED TO DO IN THIS ROLE?

- Delivery of financial budgets, forecasts, and scenario analysis to the Group Executive Committee.
- Contributing to the teams role in driving and improving the financial performance of Strategic Business Units, and consequently the Group.
- Continuous improvement of the Group's financial modelling capability, consequently seeking to improve both timing and quality of delivery.
- Further development of the Group's liquidity forecasting capability, including cashflow forecasting and liquidity ratio analysis (LCR/NSFR/Central Bank Liquidity Ratios)
- Provision of financial forecasts and underlying management information to key external stakeholders including the Central Bank and Department of Finance.
- On-going development of business relationships to improve the flow of key information, including both critical forecast inputs as well as coordinating across business units on the consistency of outputs.
- Working with colleagues in Finance and Product Management Units to optimisecapital and liquidity usage, integrating these initiatives into the financial planning process, and assisting in balancing these judgements with the improvement of performance metrics.

3. TECHNICAL COMPETENCES FOR YOUR ROLE - WHAT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO KNOW

- Experience

Previous experience in a Financial Planning role, ideally in a Banking environment.

Strong understanding of performance drivers and balance sheet dynamics.

- Content/Technical Knowledge

Ability to develop and maintain financial models.

Qualification in Accounting, Risk or a quantitative discipline.

Strong systems skills, including advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills.

- Further Expected Knowledge & Skills

Previous experience presenting financial information to Senior Executive management, including written and verbal presentation to a high quality.

Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative.

Ability to influence senior management with proven credibility in understanding business issues.
