Financial Modeller - Investment Research

My client, based in the Centre of London, is looking for an exprienced Financial Modeller with a strong banking/investment background to join their team on a contract basis.

Essentially this role will enhance the UK proposition by delivering financial insights and recommendations based upon sound commercial analysis, providing specific financial expertise with regards to developing propositions, owning the delivery of effective financial and business analytical support for internal and external customers - primarily through a financial modelling tool.

The desired background for this role will include:

- Work history needs to including banking, or other financial sector experience eg insurance, private equity, corporate strategy, corporate finance or programme management office experience
- Analysis of business or group performance, investment projects, portfolio analysis including finance or credit analyst
- Profit centre management and understanding of commercial tensions for profitable growth, working capital, risk management and business management tension
- Experience and evidence of developing sound and reasonably advanced excel financial model (macros and graphics)
- Experience identifying key financial information into simple language and graphics.
- Excellent analytical and technical financial skills, ability to identify risks & concerns
- Applicants must possess a formal finance qualification (ACA, MBA, CFA, Master of Finance, CIMA or ACCA)
