Financial Data Analyst A Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a leading Financial Research Company based in central London. They are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to work within a newly formed business area for the business. The Role The successful candidate will form part of a new sub-team within the Financial Data group focused on analysis and investigatory work across a variety of key data sets. Primary tasks will be geared towards data analysis for internal projects and processes. This is a new role and so much of the requirements will be defined by the candidate's ability to take on responsibilities and support both the manager and business analyst in a variety of ways. The remit and responsibilities will expand as time progresses. The Candidate Provide quality assurance of intra-day market data, identify and resolve issues. Have an understanding of global exchange trading data Analysis of overnight aggregated validations and various data sets. Extract concise economic and security news from direct feeds. Expected to define, deliver and work within an agile development process. Expected to take the initiative to explore different ways of performing tasks but will also follow specific requirements Participate in projects utilising analysis skills, testing and procedure definition. Implement appropriate processes and data controls. Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team and across the business. Will be dealing with software developers on a frequent basis. Investigate and resolve ad-hoc data issues. Identify opportunities to improve data sourcing and loading routines reducing manual processes and improving integrity. Skills Required: Degree Educated Strong interpersonal skills and relationship building skills Experience gained from a similar technical analysis role. Strong attention to detail coupled with solid problem solving Experience in the financial sector is essential. Proactive and delivery focused. Excellent attention to detail and determination to see initiatives, and processes through to completion. Ability to work in an iterative environment Good understanding of numerous traded instruments.
