Financial Controlling Specialist

FINANCIAL CONTROLLING SPECIALIST

An excellent interim opportunity with a leading telecoms vendor. They are looking for an experienced Financial Controlling Specialist to join them and ensure a high quality in accounting is maintained, assure compliance to internal and external financial reporting requirements, and to provide expert financial advices.

The contract is being offered with a competitive daily rate and will be located in the company's Surrey based office.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Financial accounting and compliance for the legal entities:
- Ensure compliance to internal and external financial reporting requirements;
- Responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of financial records;
- Responsibility to ensure a timely period end close process;
- Responsibility for legal entity results and Balance sheet reconciliations;
- Legal entity management:
- Ensure appropriate legal entity equity and profit levels;
- Responsible for management of transfer pricing policy with EAB;
- Provide accurate legal and cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure alignment with global financial processes and accounting directives.
- Ensure overall compliance and control over local document retention policy.
- Monitoring and drive improvement in accounting KPI measures
- SSC Finance demand management - approve SSC service management framework and act as an escalation point for the legal entities served by the Hub;
- Identify and mitigate financial risks
- Preparation of key financial information for management
- Provide expert financial advice to the business.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience with a Financial Controlling, SOX Controller or similar role.
- Experience in the telecoms industry would be beneficial but isn't essential.
- Qualified Accountant with 5 years+ post qualified experience, or Academic degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- Experience of ensuring company financial compliance for legal entities.
- Experience and understanding of financial systems.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
