Financial Controller - Retail/Property - ACA/ACCA/CIMA - London - Competitive daily rate

An excellent 3 month contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller, with a commercial understanding of retail sales sector and property portfolio management, to join one of the UK's largest and most successful companies.

The purpose of the role is;
To lead a team in providing strategic thought, analysis and support to my client, ensuring optimisation of the Group's property portfolio

The role reports to the UK Finance Director and you will work closely with the Group Property Director and gain exposure to the CFO.
The successful applicant will play a key part in shaping the future of the UK
- Finance Business Partner for the Group Property Director
- Ownership of financial control and investment appraisal on all property capex spend
- Creation of strategic development plans
- Creation and management of weekly reports
- Management of capital spend and post investment performance reviews to optimise ROI and enhance decision making
- Management and control of property operating costs
- Line management of 2-6 direct reports that provide analytical support

The successful candidate will have;
- Commercial understanding of retail sales sector and property portfolio management
- High level of analytical ability and commercial acumen
- Strong presentation skills
- Experienced people manager, you will need to lead and motivate your team
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with 4 YEARS POST QUALIFIED EXPERIENCE
- An ability to build credibility with senior executives, and to be capable of influencing at a senior level
- Strong people and project management skills.
