Financial Compliance Manager - 3 month contract, up to £300 per day

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a fully qualified Financial Compliance Manager to join the Financial Accounting department of an award-winning, multi-national, US-owned business based in Redhill, Surrey. This role will focus on managing Audits and Sox compliance, managing Statutory and Year End accounts, Tax computations and US reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
1. To produce the statutory accounts for the 5 entities in the UK.
2. To provide all analysis and a draft tax computation for the 5 UK entities.
3. Co-ordinate all European entities, statutory reporting, audit and tax.
4. Review month end file (for the smaller entities) within agreed timescales.
5. Act as a backup to the senior management accountant in regards to the month end and other reconciliation work.
6. Act as a backup to the senior corporate accountant in regards to the US consolidation.
7. To ensure that all reporting complies with Sarbanes Oxley and the US GAAP requirements.
8. To coordinate audits (internal, external and Sarbanes Oxley) in conjunction with published timetables.
9. To attend/participate in internal/external meetings and/or presentations as required (which may require travel to other offices or supplier sites) in order to discuss and resolve issues.
10. To produce and present workshops within the Finance Department in order to improve the team's knowledge of financial accounting principles.
11. To deal with telephone, face to face and e-mail enquiries from colleagues within and to provide accurate information as necessary.
12. To work on ad hoc projects as and when required. To investigate and seek input from employees and suppliers as necessary and then to present to relevant parties in order to receive feedback. To implement any agreed outcomes.
13. To ensure that all work is achieved within established deadlines.
14. To take responsibility on a daily basis for filing and archiving within own area of the Financial Accounts department.
