Financial Communications Consultant - London - £300 - £350 per day - 3 months initially

ROLE DEFINITION

This role has responsibility for two key areas:

*Finance - Support delivery of the publishing and design of key financial documentation for the external markets, including production of such documents.
*Communications - support delivery of tactical communications programmes, strategic communications and communications planning as required.

Skills:

*Role requires strong/good knowledge of on-line (HTML) and reporting systems (eg: RNS, Edgar)
*Strong communication skills

Key Deliverables:

*Delivery of external reporting financials
*All reports and results delivered on time, within budget and to a consistently high standard.
* Liaising between stakeholders and agencies.
* Review reports to identify any design issues or corrections which need to be addressed.
* Review of best practice across competitor reports, printed and online.
*Project management and planning across all report deliverables including consultation and agreement with internal and external parties.
*Project management of reporting cycle key activities between communications teams (media, online and internal comms) and finance, developing & managing robust project plan to incorporate all cross team deliverables.
*Maintain relationship with external reporting designers to ensure quality of service, cost control, and resolution of issues are met in accordance with contract.
* Maintain key internal stakeholder relations to ensure their input is incorporated into reports, expectations are met and issues are resolved.
*Key liaison and relationship management of external agencies.
*Manage timely and accurate publication of all online reporting material.
*Manage timely and accurate publication and distribution of all LSE and SEC releases.

Communications:

* Assist in delivery of the Finance communication plan in accordance with agreed deliverables set by the Finance Senior Leadership team (SLT).
* To build relationships with the Aviva Group Centre Communication team and other AGC finance teams in order to deliver messaging in accordance with Group branding and standards
* Support the finance management team in the communications around feedback and implementation of finance employee survey results
* Support SLT and GFMT to meet team communication requirements by providing advice and feedback when required. Coordinate and manage key internal communications activities that meet key communications objectives as set out in plan including:
The annual Finance conference in conjunction with SLT and the events team.
Monthly/bi-monthly staff events that facilitate senior management communications (all staff, unplugged, team breakfasts).
* Support communications for finance teams within CAO Reporting
* Manage independently ad-hoc projects within given resource and budgetary constraints
* support changes to the Finance Profession Intranet site and coordinate support from regional Finance teams. Manage content of Group Finance Team site
