Financial Analyst - VAT Accountant - TAX

Projektbeschreibung
FINANCIAL ANALYST/DIEGEM, BELGIUM/6 MONTHS CONTRACT/35 TO 57 EUR (PER HOUR)
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure and supervise timely VAT compliance reporting and communication to the various authorities by required deadlines (25+ VAT registrations)
- Train and supervise VAT analysts in order to ensure efficiency and accuracy of VAT compliance process
- Ensure all processes for VAT are SOX compliant, responsibility for complying with relevant controls in the Global Tax DCM including assistance with SOX audits
- Regular review of internal processes and drive continuous improvements by automation, simplification and standardization
- Understand, document and maintain relevant VAT processes in ERP system
- Ensure successful passing of internal/external audits (VAT, intrastat, customs)
- Provide assistance with ad-hoc project indirect tax advisory work and tasks as required
NON TECHNICAL SKILLS AND ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- Accountancy qualification and relevant indirect tax experience (preferably big 4)
- Technical and practical European VAT knowledge
- Experience post qualification
- Ability to manage own workload and prioritize
- Ability to deliver results under pressure
- Understand the implications of actions and decisions of the business
- Flexibility to meet extra demands around reporting deadlines and projects
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong command of the English language
- Team player: actively stimulate and contribute to a strong internal collaboration
- Awareness of developments in the external environment
- Share perspectives and take ownership of process improvements
- Pro-actively identify issues, and participate in the implementation of solutions
- Willingness to learn and apply experiences gained
- Take accountability for own performance and development
- Engage in constructive discussion to bring the team to a higher performance level
- Demonstrate leadership skills in supervisory of Junior Analysts
