Financial Analyst/Statutory Accountant - Cambridge

A Statutory Accountant is required to work in contract for a major organisation in Cambridge.

Role:
You will assist in the preparation of UK and Overseas financial statements, liaising with external accountants and auditors to provide all relevant information from the ledgers and supporting documentation.

Duties:
Working together with the other accountants responsible for up to 30 companies operating in the UK, Europe and Asia to do:

o Financial Accounts
- Monthly trial balance reviews including work on foreign accountants packs.
- Annual accounts packs to support trial balance.
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors during annual accounts process.
- Reconciliation of final accounts to the trial balance.

o Tax Returns
- Review of general ledger transactions to determine tax treatment.
- Preparation of annual tax packs.
- Assistance with & submission of VAT returns.

o Audit work
- For larger company audits, to provide any supporting documentation required for the auditors.
- Assistance with preparation of trial balances and processing of any audit adjustments required.
- Assistance with disclosure notes for the financial statements.

Also completing:
o National Statistics Returns.
o Ad hoc projects including assisting other staff in Department during busy periods, holidays and other absences.
