Financial Analyst Job

FINANCIAL ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA.

- Financial and project analyses
- Leading training sessions on financial tools and processes

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Provide software capitalization guidance to Program Managers
- Facilitate the forecast process to ensure accurate and complete submissions from the Program Managers
- Conduct ongoing training sessions for Program Managers and Project Managers
- Lead reconciliation work between project financials and general ledger reports; resolve discrepancies with Program Managers and ensure adjusting entries are booked
- Reconciliation of timecards and contractor rates, invoicing support, budget consolidations and rationalization, financial status reporting, financial adjustments, and forecasting analysis
- Implementation of financial planning and analysis and best practices relating to modelling, forecasting, budgeting, cost allocation and performance tracking and reporting that are aligned with program deliverables.
- Provides moderate to complex financial and project analyses
- Reviews, analyzes, and deciphers the project financial reports, and interprets the contents for finance management and alerts them to significant issues or opportunity trends.
- Recommends solutions, strategies and actions to program management.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelors Degree
- Six to eight (6-8) years related experience
- Solid understanding of software capitalization rules according to SPO 98-1
- Advanced Excel skills required, including experience in managing large amounts of data
- Experience in leading training sessions on financial tools and processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills
