Financial Analyst - JD Edwards

FINANCIAL ANALYST/LEIDEN, NETHERLANDS/5 MONTHS CONTRACT/38 TO 61 EUR (PER HOUR)

THE ROLE

The Finance Department in Leiden is responsible for all financial & accounting processes, as well as reporting, forecasting and providing financial information. The ERP platform used is JD Edwards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ensure all timely & accurate (corporate) Reporting following CSS/MD requirements (Financials reporting through TM1, Headcount reporting, preparation of month-end close review decks, P&L, Other/Ad hoc).
- Act as quarterly J&J Forecasting Lead (covering production updates, departmental expense projections, cost of goods analysis, variances vs standard costs, Affiliate sales & profit, EDC-related items, etc.).
- Full Planning Calendar Responsibility (Business Plan, Quarterly Forecasts, etc.).
- Participate in Business Planning, budgeting, reconciliations and cross-functional work teams as appropriate.
- Prepare monthly in-depth EDC-related Financial Analysis (incl. Gross profit, Revaluation, Foreign Currency Hedging, Other)
- Analysis of quarterly Full Absorption Inventory Reserve calculation & Other Reserves, as appropriate.
- Support on Dashboards, Scorecards & Other Key Metrics Reporting.
- Execute timely SOX Testing & Internal Audit Compliance, where required.
- Finance Business Partner for Operations and other supporting departments (Finance, IT & Human Resources).

PROFILE (QUALIFICATIONS/KEY COMPETENCIES)

- Bachelor/University degree in Business Economics or equivalent.
- Experience in financial environment.
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
- Good general systems skills, including proficiency with MS Office (esp. Excel & Powerpoint)
