Position Description

This role will work as part of a focused FP&A team within the Asset Management Group assisting with the management and production of timely and accurate financial information to support both the business and Corporate requirements. This position is based in Canary Wharf, London and will report directly to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, Group FPA (currently based in the UK).

Primary Responsibilities:

. Assisting the Group-wide consolidation and reporting across multiple revenue types and product lines with the key aim of providing timely reporting information to the Group Head of FP&A and other stakeholders such as Business Partners and Group CFO whilst assisting with the Group forecast and budgeting processes.

. Work closely with relevant Business Partners assisting with the automation of their monthly Business Line reporting packs

. Liaise closely with Group Accounting in analysing expense trends, and maintaining correct SEC functional classifications for departments under control. Manage processes to correct errors and underlying sources.

. Provide variance analyses to budget and prior year as necessary.

. Consolidate Asset Management Group data and perform and maintain inputs into the corporate forecasting & system (SAP) on a monthly basis, to deadline. Manage underlying directories and shared drives.

. Manage and maintain Group authorization matrices in line with Group structure.

. Assist with the reconciliation of payroll records to staffing plan, ensuring accuracy of staffing plans and coding across the Group

. Management of Group travel budget, reviewing data, providing reports by person to management. Working with RAC and employees to manage and minimize non billable travel

. Assist with production of monthly financial deck and Group management reporting

. Maintaining Group records around employee data assisting in the accurate forecasting and budgeting of wage costs

Key stakeholders include:

. Departmental heads

. Group finance, Corporate finance, regional Accounting Centers

. Human Resources.

Position Requirements

The variety and quantity of stakeholders, located in different time zones, require maturity in communication at different levels both in writing and verbally, adequate planning skills to involve the appropriate and required stakeholders, a willingness and curiosity to understand details and propose improvements, as well as the ability to participate and facilitate group meetings.

Knowledge and skill requirements

. Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting,

. Experience in a Software or similar technology organization with a mindset for measurable, actionable, and controllable analysis and comfort with qualitative and quantitative assessments. Highly process driven with a strong eye for detail, but equally able to stand back and understand the bigger picture

. Highly systems literate, with a passion for implementing & championing new ideas to maximize available systems & drive efficiency.

. Strong financial understanding including financial reporting, financial analysis, revenue & expense accounting, accrual accounting, software development capitalization

. Experience of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets and related analyses.

. Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders outside the finance team.

. Ability to work flexible hours.
